Welcome to Inner Balance Counselling Centre. By taking counselling services from us (online or offline), you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Counselling Purpose:
Counselling sessions are meant for emotional support, guidance, and personal growth.
They are not a substitute for medical, psychiatric, or emergency care.
2. Confidentiality:
Everything shared in sessions stays confidential, except in situations where:

There is risk of self-harm or harm to others

Child abuse, elder abuse, or threats of violence

Court/legal orders
3. Appointment Scheduling:
Sessions are available only through prior appointment.
We request clients to be punctual.
4. Cancellation & Rescheduling:

Please inform at least 4 hours before session time.

Last-minute cancellations or no-shows may be charged.
5. Fees & Payments:

Fee must be paid before or at the beginning of the session.

Fees once paid are non-refundable apart from exceptional cases.
6. Online Sessions:
For online sessions, ensure:

Stable internet

Quiet & private space
-
We are not responsible for connectivity issues from the client’s side.

There may rarely be an internet connectivity issue from our end. If such a situation occurs, we will compensate you for the remaining session time.

7. Scope of Service:
We offer counselling support.
We do not provide:

Legal advice
-
Medical diagnosis
-
Medication prescriptions
8. Behaviour & Respect:
Any abusive, disrespectful, or inappropriate behaviour may lead to termination of services. In case of such behaviour no refund shell be provided.
9. Emergency Situations:
Counselling is not for emergency situations.
In case of crisis, please contact:

10. Professional Boundaries:

Counsellor and client must maintain healthy professional boundaries at all times.

11. Records & Data:

We may maintain confidential notes for quality services.
These will not be shared without consent unless legally required.

📄 Terms & Conditions (Inner Balance Counselling Centre):-
1. Appointment Requirement:
All counselling sessions are provided strictly on a prior appointment basis.
2. Punctuality:
Clients are expected to join sessions on time. Delay from the client’s side will not extend the session duration (if another session is scheduled).
3. Confidentiality:
All information shared during sessions is kept confidential except in cases of risk to self, others, or if legally required.
4. Authentic Information:
Clients must provide accurate personal information and history to ensure effective counselling.
5. Professional Boundaries:
Counsellors maintain ethical boundaries; no inappropriate communication or behaviour will be accepted from either party.
6. Respectful Environment:
Both client and counsellor must maintain mutual respect during all interactions.
7. Session Recording:
Recording of sessions (audio/video) is strictly prohibited without written consent from the centre.
8. Cancellation Policy:
Clients must inform at least 4 hours in advance if they wish to reschedule or cancel a session.
9. Emergency Disclaimer:
Counselling sessions are not a substitute for medical or psychiatric emergency services. In crisis situations, clients must contact emergency services.

10. Therapeutic Progress:
Results may vary based on client participation and commitment; no guaranteed outcomes are promised.
11. Use of Services:
Services must be used for personal support only, not for legal evidence, court cases, or third-party disputes.

12. Policy Updates:
Inner Balance Counselling Centre reserves the right to change or update these Terms & Conditions anytime.

13. In situations involving suicidal ideation, self-harm risk, or threats communicated by the client through any medium, the counsellor reserves the right to inform family members or relevant legal authorities to ensure the client’s safety. Confidentiality may be breached only under these exceptional circumstances.
14. If a client steals, damages, or intentionally mishandles any property belonging to the centre, appropriate legal action may be taken as per applicable laws, and the client will be responsible for all associated charges.
15. Clients must maintain respectful and appropriate communication at all times. Any form of inappropriate, abusive, or harassing behaviour toward the counsellor or centre staff will not be tolerated. Such conduct may result in immediate termination of services without refund. If necessary, the matter may also be reported to family members or legal authorities.
16. All clients — including children, adolescents, adults, senior citizens, and individuals with any physical, cognitive, or developmental disability — are welcomed at the centre and treated with dignity, equality, and utmost respect.

17. In cases where the client’s concerns require medical evaluation, medication, or specialised psychiatric support, the case may be referred to a licensed psychiatrist for further assessment.
